Short-term rental and bed-and-breakfast regulations adopted

Ordinances No. 1444 and 1445 created a Short-Term Rental and Bed & Breakfast Establishments chapter setting minimum operating requirements and limiting short-term rentals to one per property owner citywide, in response to resident concerns about rentals in residential neighborhoods. They were adopted on March 5, 2024, under the previous council and two months before this one took office. They have been in force and enforced throughout this council’s term.

What it means: An enforceable neighborhood protection inherited from the prior council and carried forward without weakening it
