Fair Housing Ordinance adopted

Adopted Ordinance No. 1450, adding a Fair Housing chapter (Chapter 216) to the Yukon Municipal Code that prohibits discrimination in the sale, rental, or financing of housing based on race, color, religion, sex (including gender identity and sexual orientation), familial status, handicap, or national origin. The Yukon Planning Commission recommended the ordinance unanimously on April 8, 2024.

What it means: Gives Yukon residents a local, enforceable fair-housing protection alongside federal law
