Downtown Yukon master plan launched

The city issued a Request for Proposals for a long-range, implementation-ready Downtown Yukon Master Plan, with proposals publicly opened June 24, 2026. The plan will define downtown boundaries and key corridors, identify catalytic redevelopment sites — including the historic flour mill and grain elevator properties — and integrate an economic development strategy. The consulting firm has not yet been selected.

What it means: A real plan for downtown’s future, built around redeveloping Yukon’s historic flour mill instead of leaving it vacant.
