$73.6M
total project, as scoped September 2026
Yukon Parkway commercial corridor approved
The Yukon City Council adopted Ordinance No. 1493 on April 30, 2026, creating Increment District No. 3 and establishing a new mixed-use commercial corridor on the east side of Yukon Parkway, on land that had been undeveloped. The plan, developed with Patriot Land Company, authorised project costs not to exceed $62,460,000 at that time. As the corridor was scoped further, council records from September 1, 2026 put the total project at $73.64 million, of which $46.46 million is infrastructure. The corridor is anchored by the Young Family Athletic Center and is planned to carry medical offices, a hotel and dining. It is funded from the growth the development itself generates rather than from a new tax on residents.
What it means: Empty ground on Yukon Parkway becomes a commercial corridor, paid for by the growth it creates rather than by a new tax on residents
