Visit Yukon OK — Yukon’s first dedicated tourism website

visityukonok.com — Yukon’s first dedicated tourism website — launched in December 2022, under the previous administration and before this council took office. It runs under the tagline “Where Route 66 meets the Chisholm Trail” and presents Yukon as a destination rather than a bedroom community of Oklahoma City: attractions including Grady’s 66 Pub, the Yukon Veterans Museum, Freedom Trail Playground, Chisholm Trail Park, Mollie Spencer Farm and the Oklahoma Czech Building, alongside restaurants, shopping and events. This council has since used it as the front door for the Route 66 Centennial year — Rock the Route, Sounds of the Season, Christmas in the Park, the Chisholm Trail Festival and the Pumpkin Harvest Craft Festival all run through it.

What it means: A tourism platform inherited from the prior administration, now doing the heaviest work of its life during the Route 66 Centennial
