$50,000

Main Street Operating Support Grant, approved Oct. 2025

Main Street façade grants, operating support, and a dedicated board

Launched a Main Street façade and preservation grant program in August 2025, funding work such as the restoration at 717 W. Main. The City Council approved a one-time Main Street Operating Support Grant of up to $50,000 on October 21, 2025. On November 4, 2025, the program was restructured under a dedicated Main Street Board, which can now apply for city grant incentives without separate Council action per award. The City executed a memorandum of understanding with the Yukon 66 Main Street Association on June 24, 2026, formalizing cooperation on downtown events including the Czech Festival, Veterans Day, Christmas programming, and Route 66 celebrations.

What it means: Downtown Yukon gets dedicated funding, its own governing board, and a formal partnership with the merchants who run it.
