Utility billing modernized to ensure fair cost-sharing

Commissioned a Water, Wastewater & Sanitation Cost of Service Study through Ryper Water Analytics and modernized Yukon's utility billing system, effective January 1, 2025. The restructured rate structure ties billing more closely to the actual cost of delivering service, ensuring commercial and high-volume users carry their fair share of the cost of water, sewer, and sanitation service — rather than that burden resting disproportionately on ordinary residential households.

What it means: Fairer, modernized utility billing — commercial and high-volume users carry their share of the cost of service, sustaining water, sewer, and sanitation operations for the long term.
