Proclamations honoring Yukon residents

The council has used mayoral proclamations to recognize Yukon residents and causes, including 'Raelyn Williams Day' (July 1, 2026) honoring a Yukon High School sophomore's 2026 OSSAA Class 6A state championship in girls' shot put — breaking a Yukon record set in 1988 — and an Angelman Syndrome Awareness proclamation recognizing the Lawson family's advocacy. Other proclamations have recognized Czech Day, P.E.O. Day, and Building Safety Month.
