School resource officer contracts renewed

The City Council renewed Fiscal Year 2026-2027 school resource officer contracts with Yukon Public Schools and St. John Nepomuk Catholic School on June 24, 2026. The St. John Nepomuk agreement alone pays the City $100,000 over the school year for one dedicated SRO.

What it means: Trained Yukon police officers stay stationed in local schools for another year
