Fraternal Order of Police Lodge #173 signs two-year contract

The City of Yukon and the Fraternal Order of Police (FOP) Lodge #173 executed a Collective Bargaining Agreement covering Fiscal Years 2026-2027 and 2027-2028, approved by the City Council May 5, 2026 (item 21) following negotiations handled in executive session on March 24 and April 7, 2026. The agreement gives Yukon's police officers a two-year horizon of certainty on pay and benefits, including the City covering 100% of employee and dependent health and dental premiums, a $2,200 annual uniform allowance, and shift differential pay for night and evening hours.

What it means: Multi-year certainty for the officers who answer Yukon's calls, and a stronger hand in recruiting and retaining them
