New ordinance addresses 9-1-1 misuse and false alarms

The City Council adopted Ordinance No. 1492 as an emergency measure on March 24, 2026, adding a new code section addressing misuse of the 9-1-1 emergency telephone system and false alarms. The ordinance passed 5-0, with the emergency clause also passing 5-0.
