BMX Road chip-and-seal, Canadian County partnership

Approved a Mutual Cooperation Agreement with the Canadian County Board of Commissioners, District #1, on May 5, 2026, to apply two chip-and-seal layers to roughly half a mile of BMX Road off Garth Brooks Boulevard. The agreement pairs city and county resources to resurface the road rather than either government funding the work alone.

What it means: Extends the life of a county-adjacent road through shared cost, not a sole city expense
