The Wheels Are Coming Off

Guilty as charged. Yes, I was doom scrolling and a video on the "Book of Faces" caught my eye. It was a trucker telling another trucker via the CB radio that the lug nuts were loose on a wheel on the trailer being towed.

"That one looks loose and the wheels are about to come off."

That welcomed call saved the trucker from a very bad day.

I am sending out a call via the CB radio to you all, the citizens of our great city, "The wheels are coming off."

So, what is the fix? Pull that big rig over - the big rig is our great nation, our wonderful state, this beautiful county and our very city.

The day we are pulling the big rig over is this November 5th (or before if you are an absentee or early voter). What are we "fixing"?

Well, that largely depends on what you see as being "wrong". As for me, and my family, we are tightening the lug nuts that will curb inflation, promote traditional family values, encourage economic vitality in our local businesses, encourage all Americans to thrive and institute foreign policy strength across the world.

I can hear you, "Come on, Pillmore, make it practical!"

Well, I am voting for new rulers at our national level. Yes, I said "rulers". You may prefer "politicians" but these people are those we have chosen to rule over us.

Transforming our state into the "city on a hill" that we should be is my goal. Selecting strong leaders for our state legislature as well as reforming our judiciary is essential.

Lastly, improving the local governance of our great city. Voting on a few updates to our city's charter to improve the way things are work locally.

In this election, make your voice heard. Tell your neighbors what your vision is for this election. Tell your family how you feel about current and potential "rulers". Express how much you care about your city, county, state and our nation. Then, cast your ballot.

I just cast mine.
