His Name Shall Be Called (Christmas Series 4 of 4)

Isaiah gives us a list. Not just a birth announcement—but titles.

Wonderful Counselor. Mighty God. Everlasting Father. Prince of Peace.

Each name speaks volumes. Each one opens a door into the kind of King we're dealing with.

Wonderful Counselor. Not just someone who gives good advice—but one whose wisdom is beyond comprehension. He doesn't just know what's right. He is right. Always.

Mighty God. That's not poetic language. That's divinity. This child in the manger? He wasn't just sent by God. He was God. With power unmatched and authority unquestioned.

Everlasting Father. Not "Father" in a confusing theological sense—but in character. Protective. Providing. Present. Always.

Prince of Peace. And there it is again—that political edge. Princes rule. Peace isn't just a vibe or a feeling here. It's the result of a just and righteous government. He brings not just comfort, but order. Not just calm, but shalom—wholeness.

This isn't a feel-good Hallmark moment. It's a royal proclamation. The King is here. And He's not compartmentalized into Sunday mornings or holiday traditions. His names reach into every sphere: wisdom, power, family, and governance.

Yes, this began as a birth story. But it ends with a crown.

So, what now?

Let's not reduce Jesus to a religious symbol. A mere babe in a manger. Let's worship the King the magi recognized, the shepherds adored, and Herod feared. Let's celebrate His reign—not just with carols and candles—but with our lives surrendered.

The King of Kings has come. And His name? Jesus. Everything we've ever needed. And more.

Merry Christmas!
